These Terms govern your use of eglesna.design and any purchase you make from EGLESNA. By placing an order, you confirm you have read, understood, and accept these Terms.
1. Who we are
EGLESNA is a hand-operated machine-knitted linen clothing brand operated by Eglė Česnauskienė, conducting individual business activity (individuali veikla) in Lithuania.

By placing an order with EGLESNA you are entering a distance contract with the trader identified above.
2. Made-to-order goods — please read carefully
Every EGLESNA garment is knitted on a hand-operated knitting machine specifically for you after you place and pay for your order. Each item is a personalised, custom-made good produced to the colour and size you select.
Because each piece is made to order, the following applies under EU Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU, Article 16(c) and the Lithuanian Civil Code Art. 6.228⁹ §2 (consumer-rights exemptions):
- The 14-day right of withdrawal from a distance contract does not apply to your order.
- Once payment has been captured by Stripe, the order cannot be cancelled.
- The purchase is non-refundable for change-of-mind reasons (e.g. wrong size chosen, didn’t like the fit, no longer wanted).
This exclusion is allowed by EU and Lithuanian law specifically because we don’t hold ready-made stock — your garment is made for you and could not reasonably be re-sold. We make this clear at checkout (a notice appears above the “Place Order” button), and you accept it by completing the purchase.
Production and delivery: standard items reach you within 10–21 days from order. Custom orders take longer — we’ll email you an estimated timeline after your order is placed.
3. Defective or non-conforming goods (your statutory rights)
The made-to-order exemption above does not remove your rights under EU Directive 2019/771 and the Lithuanian Civil Code regarding non-conforming goods. If your order arrives:
- physically damaged in transit,
- materially different from what was advertised (wrong colour, wrong size produced, knitting defect), or
- not the item you ordered,
contact us at [email protected] within 14 days of delivery with photographs and your order number. We will arrange — at our discretion — a free repair, a free replacement, or a full refund.
Our liability for non-conformity runs for 2 years from delivery, in line with Directive 2019/771. Normal wear and tear, misuse, or care-instruction violations are not covered.
4. Pricing, currency and VAT
- All prices are shown in euros (EUR) and include 21% Lithuanian VAT (PVM).
- EU customers pay the displayed price; no additional duties apply within the EU.
- If we ever offer non-EU shipping, customers in those regions may incur import duties at delivery, payable to the carrier.
- Prices may change at any time; the price you see at checkout is the price you pay for that order.
5. Payment
We accept payment via Stripe. Stripe processes credit/debit cards, Stripe Link, Klarna, BLIK, Bancontact, EPS, and other methods enabled in our country. Your card data is sent directly to Stripe — we never see or store it. Strong Customer Authentication (3D Secure) is required for all transactions, in line with EU PSD2 rules.
6. Shipping
- Worldwide shipping: standard items delivered in 10–21 days. Custom orders take longer.
- Within the EU: free shipping on orders over €75; €8 + VAT for orders below €75.
- Outside the EU: shipping cost calculated at checkout based on destination.
- Tracking: a tracking link is emailed to you once your order is dispatched.
- Risk and title pass to you upon delivery.
7. Intellectual property
All photographs, designs, garment patterns, brand marks and website content are the property of EGLESNA. You may not reproduce, redistribute, or commercially exploit them without our written permission.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent allowed by law, EGLESNA’s total liability for any claim arising from your order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any liability that cannot legally be limited.
9. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by Lithuanian law. Disputes will be resolved in the competent Lithuanian courts.
EU consumers may also use the European Commission’s Online Dispute Resolution platform: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. Lithuanian consumers may contact the State Consumer Rights Protection Authority — vvtat.lt.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms at any time. Each order is governed by the version in effect at the time of purchase. Material changes will be announced on our homepage.
